"Reading Druze Studies Books" is part of the Druze Studies Project at the University of Kansas and is published by the Druze Studies Journal (DSJ). It provides current coverage of scholarly publications in Druze Studies, reviewed by experts with relevant specialized knowledge. We publish two types of reviews. One type is the regular, brief, thorough, and timely book reviews (usually 800-1,200 words). The second type is extensive reviews published as a book forum, which usually include 3-5 scholars with various perspectives, engage in depth with the book, and situate it within the larger debate in Druze Studies. Launched in its initial version in November 2025, as a collaboration between DSJ founding editor-in-chief Dr. Rami Zeedan and DSJ editorial board member Dr. Hussam S. Timani.
